The following Terms and Conditions shall be in force from the date and time the client registers a student with us up to the date and time the student completes his/her studies or for whatever reason, is deregistered from our institution.
1. The following words/terminologies shall be applied in the context provided herein:
a) We/us/our institution refers to The Royal Home School Nairobi. Only the director or individuals who have been directly authorised by the director can act on behalf of The Royal Home School Nairobi. He/she must have a written, a verified contract and a written authorisation from the director of The Royal Home School Nairobi to conduct business on behalf of the institution, in the absence of which, the individual may be presumed to be impersonating The Royal Home School Nairobi.
b) You/client refers to the parent, guardian, sponsor or any other individual who registers a student with us. He/she shall take any responsibility or liability(fully) that falls under this category of responsibility.
2. By registering your child with our institution, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted all the terms and conditions herein. After registering your child with us, you agree to be legally bound and abide by this agreement in all aspects of it and no excuse or waiver whatsoever can be made to this requirement.
3. Whereas we accept to offer homeschooling and tutorship services to your child/children, any child under the age of 18 years of age is under your care. You shall ensure that the child/children use their devices responsibly. You shall ensure that he/she does not access sites that may be harmful to children under the age of 18 years. You are solely responsible for any loss, liability, damage, injury, expense or any other consequence, direct or indirect, that may occur as a result of your child accessing the internet.
4. Neither the website owner nor any third party shall be liable in any way to you or any other person, firm or cooperation whatsoever for any loss, liability, damage, injury or expense of any nature whatsoever arising from delays, inaccuracies, errors in or omission of any price information or the transmission thereof, or for any actions taken in reliance thereon or occasioned thereby or by reason of non-performance or interruption, or termination thereof.
5. We offer tutorship and facilitate learners who have chosen to acquire education privately outside traditional schools and advises clients on how such learners can sit for final exams in registered examination centres and achieve internationally accredited qualifications.
6. Services to our clients shall only be offered after payment (in full) of any applicable fees as set solely by us. The payments shall be done in a timely manner as agreed upon registration of the learner. Additional services or skill building may be charged separately from the usual that is fees applicable to all learners. All fees must be paid to the official account(no cash payment whatsoever). Any fee that is paid in any other account shall not be recognised by us. A payment shall only be considered successful after it has been confirmed and receipted by us.
7. You shall provide the necessary reasonable support to our tutors as they ensure that your child gets the best education possible within the given circumstances. You shall ensure that the learner's study environment is free of noise, distractions or any other dangers and ensure your child's welfare and comfort for conducive learning.
8. You shall equip the learner with an ideal gadget such a computer, a laptop, an iPad, tablet or a smart phone and access to printer/scanner which they will use in the course of learning. These gadgets shall have the right settings on back light, sound volume, internet safety parameters. You also commit that you will monitor the learner’s online footprint and intervene when/if necessary to ensure learner’s safety.
9. You shall register the learner in a registered examination centre for the final exams and pay any fees associated with the exams. Extra payments for registration for exams, examination centre costs, and any other fees that may become payable in the course of learning shall be paid by you to the examination body, or where agreed otherwise in writing, to us, and the funds deposited in our account, then we shall pay for the exams on behalf of the client. This may include service and transaction fees.
10. You shall register the learner in at least one of the following clubs: science club, music club, mathematics club, IT club and debate club and at least one sport: swimming, football(soccer), chess etc. You will facilitate the learner to attend educational tours, practical lessons and extra-curricular activities as advised by our tutors.
11. You will make time to discuss the learners progress with tutors at intervals acceptable to both you and us. As much as we promise to do our best to ensure that learners get the best education possible, we do not make any warranties of any kind regarding the performance of the student. You shall ensure that the learner attends classes and concentrates as we do our part to realise the full potential of the learner. You shall be responsible for making sure that the learner attends lessons as required.
12. Services paid for shall be available within 14 days after the date of payment. Funds that are paid in excess shall be credited to the learners and used to finance future services rendered by our institution. The amounts charged to you by us, whether through your credit card or otherwise, may be subject to and include applicable taxes, including without limitation, withholding taxes. It is your responsibility to remit any taxes that apply to your transactions. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any claim arising out of your failure to do so.
If you obtain services from us without payment as may be agreed solely by our management, you remain indebted to us and such debts must be honoured within 30 days. We may take steps to collect past due amounts using other collection mechanisms. You agree to pay all expenses associated with such collection, including reasonable attorneys' fees. Interest will accrue on any past due amounts at the rate of 5% per month or the lawful maximum.
13. Having agreed to our terms and conditions, you agree to appreciate our services and that all payments are dully earned compensation of our services. You shall exclusively pay for any additional learning materials that the learner may need in the course of their study.
